Description:
One or more German Shorthaired Pointer Club of Oregon (GSPCO) Junior Handler Scholarships may be awarded annually (total maximum of $500) to enable junior club members to participate in AKC Events with a German Shorthaired Pointer (GSP).

Selection Criteria:
        Applicant's involvement in GSPCO Club Events
        Applicant's Academic Achievements and Potential
        Applicant's ability to be a good ambassador for the breed

Eligibility:
Family must be members in good standing of GSPCO for a minimum of 1 year and be current with dues.

Period of Award:
The scholarship will be awarded for the calendar year of January to December. Applications must be submitted by September 30 each year.

Scholarship Use:
The funds must be used for entry fees, transportation or lodging to participate with a GSP in AKC Events.

        2. Shows
        3. Obedience, Agility
        4. Hunt Tests
Copies of receipts for funds used must be submitted to the scholarship committee a minimum of 30 days prior to the event date.

Selection:
The scholarship committee will review all applications and interview finalists. The committee will present their recommendations at the annual club meeting in November.
